Dr. Rosenthal has been in private practice in Great Neck for 16 years. He specializes in Laser Vision Correction, advanced cataract surgery, with intraocular lens implantation, and cosmetic facial plastic surgery.
Because of his special expertise in these areas a substantial portion of his practice is dedicated to consulting on cases referred to him by other ophthalmic surgeons.
Dr. Rosenthal is dedicated to Quality eye surgery.
He is active on the teaching staffs of North Shore University Hospital, Long Island Jewish, New York Eye and Ear and New York University. He spends a substantial amount of his practice time in surgical research and development of new technologies and inventions related to eye surgery.
He has lectured to professional and civic groups in five continents and is the author of numerous profressional journal articles and book chapters on advanced eye surgical techniques.

He was recently elected to the New York Intraocular Lens Implant Society and has been nominated for membership in the International Intraocular Implant Club, the latter being the most prestigious organization of its kind worldwide, limited to only 250 members and by invitation only. Members of these organizations are world-reknowned, innovative eye surgeons specializing in cataract and refractive surgery.
He travels yearly to Europe as a U.S. delegate and speaker to the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
Dr. Rosenthal, has been named in the ABest Doctors of Long Island,@ Strathmore=s Who=s who, and Who=s who of American Inventors. He holds a U.S. patent for surgical techniques and devices. He is also the recipient of a video award from the American Society of Catarct and refractive surgery for his groundbreaking work in the field of artificial iris implantation.
